Sledding Season
Belly-down, full speed, giant grin. Teddy owned the hill this winter — and convinced the whole family to join him. By the end of the day there wasn't a dry pair of gloves in the house.
Six years old and already unstoppable. I love sledding at full speed, climbing things I probably shouldn't, and exploring the woods with my sister. I’m also on the hunt for Bigfoot — seriously — and I eat broccoli by choice, which apparently is unusual.
When I’m not outside I’m building in Minecraft, folding paper airplanes, watching hockey, or looking at things under my microscope. Whether there’s snow on the ground or flowers coming up, there’s always something worth investigating.
When the snow came, Teddy was already in his boots. No hesitation, no warm-up lap — just full send down every hill in sight.
Belly-down, full speed, giant grin. Teddy owned the hill this winter — and convinced the whole family to join him. By the end of the day there wasn't a dry pair of gloves in the house.
Found the biggest snow pile in the neighborhood and immediately climbed it. Red coat, blue hat, yellow boots — full winter regalia.
Yellow boots dragging the sled back up the hill for another run. The definition of determined. He did this approximately forty times in a row.
Blue skates, red jacket, helmet buckled tight — Teddy took to the Yorktown ice rink and didn't fall nearly as much as anyone expected.
The plan was to build it and then eat it later. The reality was a simultaneous build-and-eat operation that left icing everywhere and one very happy six-year-old. The house was structurally compromised before it was finished.
Snow melted, boots came off, and Teddy headed straight for the trees. Spring meant more daylight, muddier shoes, and bigger ambitions.
From scaling the neighborhood trees to crawling inside a massive stick fort in the woods — spring exploration was serious business. Every branch was a ladder, every trail a new discovery.
Running full speed across the field with his crew on a perfect sunny spring morning. Competitive doesn't even begin to cover it.
Grabbed the edge of the giant parachute and gave it everything he had. School field day: Teddy's favorite day of the year.
Completely soaked, bright yellow shirt, eyes closed mid-blow — making the biggest bubble he could at the outdoor picnic tables. Very serious work.
A season in pictures — the big moments and the candid ones.
